Postal Service May Close 4 Processing Centers In Colorado

DENVER (CBS4)- The U.S. Postal Service is considering closing 250 mail processing facilities across the nation, including four in Colorado.

The Postal Service lost $8.5 billion last year. Now, it is trying to cut costs.

Processing centers in Alamosa, Colorado Springs, Durango and Salida will be studied to determine whether they should be shut down.

The postal service is also considering shutting down 3,700 post offices nationwide.
