Broncos Fan Wants 'Anything But Orton' Billboard Advertising

DENVER (CBS4)- The calls to bench Denver Broncos Quarterback Kyle Orton may be something that you not only hear in the Mile High City, but also what you see.

A Broncos fan who attends a college out-of-state said he's ready to take it to the next level.

"After hearing John Fox's comments that he didn't hear the Tebow chants, we feel like if our coach is deaf, we should make sure he isn't blind," said Broncos fan Jesse Oaks.

Oaks lives in Kentucky. He wants to send a message that can't be missed. Oaks and a group of supporters want to put billboards around Sports Authority Field, near Colfax and Interstate 25.

"I want them to be in the most noticeable place and I want John Fox to be able to see them when he goes to work and when he goes home," said Oaks.

Oaks said he has raised $500 and has enough for two billboards leading up to the stadium. What would be on those billboards is unknown. Oaks said he is pro-Tebow, but this campaign is just "anything but Orton."

"I don't care if it's Brady Quinn, Adam Webster, I don't care if Elway comes in there," said Oaks.

When asked if there is a chance that a billboard could influence a coach, Fox responded, "Uh, I've seen a lot of billboards and I can't remember a single one that has influenced me."

When asked if he felt like the billboards would add any extra pressure, Orton responded, "No, not at all. I'm not going to waste my time answering those questions, to be honest with you."

Several advertising agencies have already stated they won't carry the anti-Orton billboard. Oaks said those companies don't want to offend the Broncos.
