Upper Portion Of Mount Evans Road Closed For Season
CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - It's a sign of the season up in the high country as part of Mount Evans Road has been closed.
On Tuesday the Colorado Department of Transportation shut down the upper stretch of Mount Evans Road. It's the part up to the summit.
CDOT says the road tops out at 14,000 feet and is prone to snowy weather after Labor Day.
Visitors can still go up to Echo Lake, but if they want to get to the summit they'll have to wait until next year.
