School Still Closed After Odor Prompted Evacuation
RIFLE, Colo. (AP) - A Rifle elementary school will remain closed while environmental technicians try to find the source of an odor that sent 22 students and a teacher to a hospital.
The Glenwood Springs Post Independent reports an investigation at Graham Mesa Elementary School has been inconclusive.
The school was evacuated on Thursday when the odor was detected.
Graham Mesa students won't have classes on Tuesday. On Wednesday, students in the first through fourth grades will attended classes at two other elementary schools.
School district spokeswoman Theresa Hamilton says Graham Mesa pre-school and kindergarten students won't have classes until their building can be reopened.
