DENVER (CBS4) – A Colorado author is back with his second novel and this time the story sounds like it’s been ripped from the headlines.
It’s just one of the many twists and turns in the novel “Buried by the Roan.” It centers on a process called fracking, where chemicals are used to break down rock and soil to release natural gas and oil reserves.
Author Mark Stevens stopped by CBS4 studios to talk about his new work. Watch his interview in the video below.
Some of the topics Stevens talked about are as follows:
– How Stevens started as a journalist and moved on to become a novelist
– The books is a murder mystery and much more. He talks about the story behind the book without giving away the ending
– How Stevens got the idea for the novel and why he picked the Roaring Fork Valley
