Victim Of Medical Copter Crash Remembered At Memorial

DENVER (CBS4) - A Denver woman was among those remembered at a memorial service in Missouri on Saturday.

Tarry Tacoronte, 58, was a patient aboard a Lifenet helicopter when it crashed in Mosby, Mo. last week. She and three crew members were killed in the crash.

In St. Joseph family, friends and emergency personnel remembered the four victims. A friend of the pilot said the loss of a patient always hits the hardest.

"I can tell you on behalf of the crew we are so very sorry we were unable to rescue her," flight paramedic Jeff Coe said. "I know James. Had he survived he would be devastated the patient did not. I know he was tough, but not that tough."

The pilot reported he was low on fuel but the investigation into what caused the crash continues.

Tacoronte's husband has filed a lawsuit against the helicopter operator.
