DENVER (CBS4) – Mayor Michael Hancock announced the choice for this year’s “One Book One Denver” at the Denver Animal Shelter Thursday morning
The location was chosen because the book is about a dog named “Enzo.” It’s called “Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein.
Enzo shares the lessons he’s learned from his owner, a race car driver. He sees that life is similar to racing but brings an uplifting perspective that life isn’t about going fast.
“Over the years I’ve been impressed by the work of ‘One Book One Denver’ as I’ve watched them help to build a stronger sense of connectivity,” Hancock said.
It’s the eighth year for the program.
