Brazen Robbers Hit Aurora Walmart

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Aurora police said two men stormed into the Walmart on East Exposition Avenue just after 10 p.m. Friday.

Once inside they grabbed a greeter and held her at gunpoint while they led her over to a register. They also ordered employees and customers to the ground.

Once they had the money the pair fled but in the parking lot they came across a security guard. They fired several times at the guard while he was in his car, shooting out a tire. The guard wasn't hit but employees say the Walmart has been hit two other times in the last two months.

"I'm scared. I don't want to work nights anymore. But I just know we need security, we need people out here. We have cops for the weekend, but that's it," employee Erika Gutierrez said.

Nobody inside the store was hurt. Police dogs were brought in to help in the search but were unsuccessful. Police have collected the surveillance video to try to identify the men.

Anyone with information is asked to call Aurora police.
