Heat May Push Back Boulder Valley's Start Of School Year

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Colorado's August heat wave could have at least one school district starting classes later next year.

The superintendent of Boulder Valley Schools has gotten enough complaints from parents to re-evaluate the calendar.

Boulder Valley students went back to school Aug. 15 and 16. Some parents want the start date pushed back to Labor Day.

Only half of the schools in the district have air conditioning and parents are worried about the health effects of the warm classrooms.
