Jefferson County's 'Outdoor Lab' Saved By The Community

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A popular program in the Jefferson County schools is up and running after being threatened by budget cuts.

The Outdoor Lab gives students the chance to learn about nature by taking up to two mountain locations. The program was going to be suspended this year to save money but the community raised $600,000 to keep the lab open.

Lab fees were raised to support the program.
