Dog Finds More Bed Bugs In Longmont Library

LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) - A beagle-mix trained to sniff out bed bugs discovered more bed bug-infested chairs at the Longmont Public Library.

Exterminators were working Monday to remove the bed bugs. The Longmont Times-Call reports that the dog named Macaroni found nine infested chairs over the weekend, including two that exterminators had already worked on last week.

Inspectors had previously found bed bugs on six chairs.

The library has not closed because of the bed bugs and library Director Judith Anderson says it will remain open. She says library officials are working on implementing a plan to regularly inspect for bed bugs.
