GREELEY, Colo. (AP) – A Greeley firefighter is facing charges of criminal mischief after he admitted putting sugar in another firefighter’s gas tank.

Police said 38-year-old firefighter Kevin Adler told them he put sugar in the gas tank earlier this month as a practical joke.

According to the Greeley Tribune (http://bit.ly/p7OIM6 ), others told police it was motivated by jealousy about a woman the victim had dated.

Adler was released from the Weld County Jail on Thursday after spending the night in jail.
