Body Found At Lake Powell

PAGE, Ariz. (AP) — The body of a Colorado woman has been recovered from Lake Powell. The National Park Service says they received a missing persons report and began searching for a woman after a man reported that he hadn’t seen his wife since Monday night.

The woman was reported missing from a houseboat in Slick Rock Canyon. The Arizona Daily Sun reports park rangers located the body in about 8 feet of water close to the houseboat.

The San Juan County, Utah, Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death and the National Park Service is assisting in the investigation.

Authorities have not released any names.
