FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- A woman accused of driving through Colorado with 21 animals in a moving van will not serve any jail time as part of a plea agreement reached with prosecutors.

Holiday Christie, 56, was arrested in Fort Collins in July. Christie pleaded guilty to two counts of obstructing a peace officer on Wednesday.

The Larimer County District Attorney agreed to drop 19 counts of animal cruelty against Christie as part of the plea agreement. The prosecutor claimed that 21 pets were overheating in the back of the U-Haul, including dogs, cats and pygmy goats, and would not have survived the trip across the country.

The judge sentenced her to two years of probation and said she can’t keep animals unless she submits a written plan for how she will care for them.

Christie has a brain tumor and the concern is that the tumor is affecting her behavior and ability to care for her pets.
