2 Men Wearing Heavy Makeup Rob Denver Jewelry Store
DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police are investigating the robbery of a jewelry store Wednesday morning.
Sonny Jackson with Denver police said Sonny's Rocks, located at 1501 South Colorado Boulevard, was robbed around 10:44 a.m. by two armed men wearing white makeup on their faces and black makeup on their lips. One man had black hair and the other had on a blonde wig and was wearing scrubs.

The suspects were last seen leaving southbound on foot from the jewelry store. They made off with an undisclosed amount of jewelry.
Detectives told CBS4 the suspects' face paint was so heavy it made it very difficult to determine the race of each one, though it was later determined the suspects were both African American.
Sonny's Rocks is a long time Denver jewelry store that specializes in bridal jewelry.
