GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) – Authorities in Jefferson County have identified the man who was found dead last week on Lookout Mountain.

Police say they are investigating the death of Richard Limon, 69, as a homicide.

Limon was apparently the victim of a stabbing. His body was found on Aug. 17 on Lookout Mountain by two cyclists on Lariat Trail in Windy Saddle Open Space Park.

Police said Limon was a Denver resident.

Authorities are asking that anyone who has information about what Limon was up to recently or saw anything suspicious on Lookout Mountain on Aug. 16 or 17 to call them. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office tipline number is (303) 271-5612.
