Missing 3 Year Old Girl Found 2 Hours After Amber Alert Issued

Wheat Ridge, Colo. (CBS4) - A missing little girl was found two hours after an Amber Alert was issued. Sara Singleton was found at about 9 p.m. Friday.

"It's just wonderful. Everybody hopes these things have a happy ending and today we do. And everybody who helped out, I'm just immensely grateful," said Sara's aunt Jennifer Arthur.

Singleton, 3, had been missing since 4:15 p.m. The FBI was helping police in the search for the little girl. An Amber Alert was issued at 7 p.m.

The child was actually inside her home the entire time. Her father apparently lost track of the girl while he was watching her. She is described as being found safe.

Police searched the home, but barricaded the door after they didn't locate her. When they opened the door, she was inside the home.

Witnesses called police after seeing a child they thought was Singleton walking south from her home at 3656 Upham Street. Investigators said she was with an unidentified man.

Police are investigating reports of who witnesses actually saw near Singleton's home.
