Aurora Police: Teen Abduction Was A Hoax

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora believe Jasmine Fike was never kidnapped and that she staged her own abduction.

An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday for a 15-year-old girl they believed was with a 37-year-old man. It was later canceled after the man was found, but the girl remains missing.

The missing girl has been identified as Jasmine Colleen-Ila Fike. She's described as a white female, 5-foot-5, 130 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Based on new information, investigators believe Jasmine is a voluntary runaway.

Police thought Fike was in the company of Franky Session, 37.

Police said Fike and Session had a previous relationship. After interviews with witnesses, police believe that Session did not play a role in the kidnapping hoax.

Investigators said detectives went to Jasmine's home on Wednesday where they observed a scene that reflected signs of a physical struggle.

Investigators also listened to a frantic 911 call in which Jasmine stated that someone was trying to break into her place and take her. When officers arrived at her home, she was nowhere to be found.

Listen to the 911 call below:

Jasmine: "Someone just broke into my house and they're trying to take me. Please, come, hurry."
