LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – It’s a sight visitors and residents in mountain towns like Estes Park are used to, but seeing an elk crossing the street in the Denver metro area? It happened on Friday.
An elk somehow made his way into the metro area and YouReporter Scott Petiya was there to capture the images.
Petiya took the following photo near Kipling Parkway.
Of the following photo, he wrote: “The elk walking slowly along the sidewalk on its way between parks, nibbling on grass and trees along the way.”
He took the following photo at a reservoir on Florida Avenue of the elk.
There were no reports of any problems resulting from the elk’s urban visit.
