Body Found In Car Submerged In Pond Near Ault

AULT, Colo. (AP) – Authorities pulled the body of a person from a car found submerged in a pond near Ault.

The Colorado State Patrol says it’s unclear how long the vehicle had been in the water when a trooper spotted it early Saturday. Authorities saw the body of the driver when they began towing the car out of the water.

The Greeley Tribune reports that the name of the deceased has not been released.

Investigators say the 1986 Volkswagen Cabriolet convertible may have driven off the side of the road and hit a tree before going into the irrigation pond.
