Charges Aurora Officers Face Called 'Embarrassing'

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Two Aurora police officers are facing charges that the department calls embarrassing.

One officer, Bradley Bickett, faces charges in Wyoming of driving under the influence, careless driving and speeding.

Bickett was released to Aurora police commanders.

Bickett and another officer, Gerald Kirby, were headed to a funeral for a fallen officer in South Dakota.

The Goshen County Sheriff's Department in Wyoming received calls about a patrol car with its lights on speeding and throwing trash out a window.

Kirby, the passenger, was cited for littering.

Officials say they will be put into non-uniform, non-enforcement assignments pending an investigation.
