Suspected Groper Turns Self In To Police After Seeing Surveillance Photos On CBS4

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver are crediting CBS4 with helping them arrest an alleged groper.

Police said the juvenile suspect turned himself in to authorities after seeing his picture all over the news. His name is not being released because he is a juvenile.

A surveillance camera captured images of the suspect at the Denver Pavilions on Sunday, Aug. 7.

"The photos were so good and crystal clear that we knew someone would see those pictures and 'Hey, I know who that person is.' In this case, he decided instead of waiting for that option, to turn himself in," said Denver Police Detective John White.

Investigators said he assaulted the victim near an elevator to a parking garage.

The suspect turned himself in to authorities on Aug. 9 at about 11:55 p.m. He is being held for investigation of assault and attempted sexual assault.
