Ex-El Paso County Worker Convicted Of Sex Charges
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A former El Paso County budget analyst faces life in prison now that jurors have convicted him of sexually abusing two girls.
Thirty-nine-year-old Michael Ray Adams was convicted of all 29 counts against him Tuesday and is set to be sentenced Nov. 1.
He is scheduled for another trial in October on allegations that he assaulted a third girl under the age of 15.
The Gazette reports one girl had testified that Adams molested her for six years until his wife walked in on him assaulting her. Another girl said she was molested once.
Public defender Cindy Jones had argued that prosecutors lacked evidence beyond the girls' testimony.
