Neighbor Reacts To Ms. Puppy Arrest

DENVER (CBS4)- People who live near a home where two bodies were found earlier this year are relieved the man, described as a person of interest in the killings, has been arrested.

"It's a pretty good feeling knowing that the suspect has been caught, with something happened so close to home, said neighbor Ryan Delve.

Daryl Rasmussen, was arrested at a bar in Palm Springs after someone there recognized him from news reports in Denver. Police said he tried to give them someone else's driver's license when he was arrested.

Rasmussen hadn't been seen since the bodies of his housemates were found in early February.

Denver officers found the bodies of Ronald Thomas Ford, 63, and Ramiro "Rome" Sanchez, 55, in the basement of their home on the 100 block of North Stuart Street.

The two were life partners, and both died from blunt force trauma injuries.

Authorities say Rasmussen lived in the home with the two men. A neighbor told CBS4 he did all the yard work.

"I never saw Ms. Puppy lurking around, but the two gentlemen who lived in the house, they were quite frequent boozers, they were out partying, they'd come home at 6, 7 in the morning, just jumping out of cabs, half-dressed. It was pretty weird," said Delve.

Rasmussen has been described by police as a cross dresser who is sometimes known as "Ms. Puppy."
