DNA Helps Denver Investigators Make Cold Case Arrest

DENVER (CBS4) - Investigators in Denver say DNA helped them make an arrest in a 7-year-old cold case in Denver.

Billy Jene Wilson was arrested in San Francisco earlier this year on unrelated charges.

Prosecutors with the Denver District Attorney's Office say his DNA matches evidence in the death of Gina Gruenwald in August 2004.

Her body was found near 17th and Lafayette after a night out with friends in LoDo. She had been stabbed in the neck.

Wilson is charged with first degree murder, two counts of felony murder and kidnapping.
