Charges Filed After Dogs Attack Police Officers
EDGEWATER, Colo. (CBS4)- Charges have been filed against an Edgewater homeowner after two dogs attacked police officers.
The dogs ripped through a screen window of the home near 24th and Newland on Monday afternoon and chased postal carrier Brian Bogle. He fought them off by stuffing their mouths with mail.
The dogs then attacked two officers who arrived to help. One officer shot and killed one rottweiler.

Police said the family is not cooperating with police after officers demanded the second dog, a pit bull, be turned over to authorities.
The homeowner has been charged with misdemeanors, including having vicious animals and dogs running at large.
