2 Colorado Men Accused Of Using Child Porn Network

DENVER (CBS4) -- More than 70 people are now facing charges in a high-tech crime ring federal investigators call "demented." The victims are young children.

Seventy-two people, including two men in Colorado, have been indicted. Investigators say the suspects were members of an exclusive online community that generated and posted child pornography worldwide.

Homeland security agents arrested Jeffrey Rodriguez of Aurora and Scott Lewandowski of Pueblo. Both are suspected of being members of the "Dreamboard" porn ring. The website allowed members to trade images of sexual abuse.

Investigators say it's the largest prosecution of an online child porn ring ever in the United States.

"Some of the children featured in these images and videos were just infants, and in many cases the children being victimized were in obvious and also intentional pain," Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer said.

The operation started in 2009 and grew to nearly 600 people all over the world. Investigators say the more material members shared, the more access they gained to even more graphic images.
