Person Of Interest In 'Ms. Puppy' Double Homicide Case In Custody
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (CBS4) - A 55-year-old man who has been described as a person of interest in a double homicide case in Denver was taken into custody on Monday night in California.
Daryl Rasmussen, was arrested at a bar in Palm Springs after someone there recognized him from news reports in Denver. Police said he tried to give them someone else's driver's license when he was arrested.
Rassmussen hadn't been seen since the bodies of his housemates were found in early February.
Denver officers found the bodies of Ronald Thomas Ford, 63, and Ramiro "Rome" Sanchez, 55, in the basement of a home on the 100 block of North Stuart Street.
The two were life partners, and both died from blunt force trauma injuries.
Authorities say Rasmussen lived in the home with the two men. A neighbor told CBS4 he did all the yard work.
Rasmussen has been described by police as a cross dresser who is sometimes known as "Ms. Puppy."
