Adams County Fires Deputy After Alleged Punching Of Teen

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - An Adams County Sheriff's deputy accused of punching a teenage boy in the face is no longer on the force.

David Morrow, 28, was fired last week.

He had been on leave since late June after being charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor.

Morrow allegedly punched the 15-year-old on Jun 12 while he the teen was restrained on a paramedic gurney. The teen ended up with a broken jaw.

According to court documents, the incident occurred at a sheriff's substation. Three ambulance attendants were preparing to transport the drunk teen to a hospital for further evaluation. The teen was being belligerent and refusing to answer questions. Both his hands and feet were restrained.

"Dep. Morrow entered the ambulance and struck (the victim) in the mouth with a closed fist," according to an affidavit.

When CBS4 spoke to Morrow last month he said the accusations are completely false.

Morrow had been a deputy with Adams County for seven years.
