DENVER (AP) – Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus says he is building resources and relationships in Colorado as the race to defeat President Barack Obama heats up.
The Republican Party is trying to rally support after Obama won Colorado by 8 percentage points in 2008.
Priebus was in Denver on Tuesday to meet with state party chair Ryan Call, raise money and meet with prospective donors.
In an interview with the Denver Post, Priebus said there is no divide with Tea Party members pushing for fiscal conservatism.
Priebus says the Republican party is part of that conservative fiscal movement.
