Cat Rescue Society Hopes To Find Young Animal Abuse Suspects

DENVER (CBS4) - A cat rescue organization is looking for boys who abused a kitten.

Two girls rescued the kitten on Friday and took it to the Cat Care Society. The girls wouldn't give their names and only said they rescued the kitten at 10th and Sheridan. They said boys burned his whiskers nearly off along with some of the hair on his ears. They were also swinging him around by his tail.

When the kitten came in, his eyes were full of blood and he had internal bleeding. He still has contusions in his lungs and some head trauma.

"Right now he's on medication to help with internal bleeding and pain. So he'll be in foster care for about two weeks, and the he'll be ready to get neutered, microchipped, and ready for adoption," an employee of the Cat Care Society said. "Anyone who wants to adopt this little guy just needs to contact us in the next couple of weeks and we can give you more information on him."

The Cat Care Society says it wants to help find the boys so police can investigate.
