COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – Prosecutors in Colorado Springs say they’re finding more victims of a former police officer accused of assaulting children.

Joshua Carrier, 30, now faces more than 189 counts of felony sexual assault. There were originally six accusers in the case against him. Carrier is now accused of assaulting 22 children

Carrier was arrested in March, accused of buying child pornography. A few weeks later the sexual assault allegations began surfacing.

Carrier was as a resource officer at Horace Mann Middle School in Colorado Springs. He also worked as a youth advisor and athletic coach.

Carrier’s lawyer, Christopher Decker, declined to comment.
