Aurora Police Investigate Deadly Shooting At Car Wash

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Aurora police are investigating a deadly shooting of a man that took place at a self-serve car wash early Sunday morning.

Det. Robert Friel said shortly after 4 a.m. officers responded to the 3100 block of North Peoria Street on a report of an aggravated assault with a gun.

"Responding officers arrived and located the scene of the shooting. However, the victim was nowhere to be found. Officers did locate the victim's car, which was parked in the immediate area in a self-serve car wash bay," Friel said in a statement. "During the course of investigation, officers learned the victim had been driven by acquaintances to a local hospital."

The victim died at the hospital. He has not been identified.
