Colorado Authorities Investigate Rafting Bus Accident

SALIDA, Colo. (AP) -- Colorado parks and wildlife officials are investigating the rollover of a rafting bus that injured 10 people.

Authorities say a bus owned by Vessels for Honor Rafting Co. rolled on its top on U.S. Highway 50 along the Arkansas River Thursday afternoon near Salida. Ten people were taken to St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City, including one person who was later transferred in critical condition to another hospital.

It wasn't clear if that was the 24-year-old woman whom the Colorado State Patrol said was seriously injured in the crash.

Hospital spokeswoman Jillian Maes said Friday that the others injured have all been released.

The bus was carrying 38 people and carrying a trailer with rafts on it when it rolled over in the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area.
