Copper Mountain To Host US Ski Team Speed Center

COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo. (AP) - The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association is working with Copper Mountain Resort to create an early season alpine ski racing venue for the U.S. team at the Colorado ski area.

Copper Mountain says the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center is designed to offer the team full-length downhill training by early November each season, beginning this fall. That should let the team continue the training it does in the summer in Chile and New Zealand.

Copper is owned by Utah-based Powdr Corp.
