FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith has removed restrictions that barred the use of inner tubes, air mattresses and small rafts on the Poudre River.
Fort Collins parks officials have also lifted their river access closure, effective Tuesday.
The restrictions were imposed after several deaths and a number of rescues were required because of high water due to rapidly melting snow.
The sheriff warned that the river will continue running quite high for some time.
