Frontier Airlines Still Struggling To Recover From Hail

DENVER (AP) - Frontier Airlines has canceled 15 more flights because of a hail storm in Denver that damaged many of its planes last week, but expects all aircraft needed for normal operations to be in service later in the week.

Spokesman Peter Kowalchuk says the airline was able to restore three more flights on Tuesday, but another 10 cancellations are expected on Wednesday and 12 on Thursday.

He says all the aircraft required for routine operations are expected to be back in service by the end of Friday.

The cancellations bring the total since last week's storm to about 230. However, the airline has contracted with charter airlines to replace 36 flights this week.

The hail at Frontier's main hub damaged 18 of its 59 Airbus planes. Five have returned to service.
