Bastida was one of four people in a pick-up truck that hit and killed Jose Medina. The valet died when the truck ran him down outside a downtown Denver nightclub. It was only his third day on the job. Surveillance pictures caught the truck leaving the scene.

The driver, Norma Vera-Nolasco, pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide. She faces up to 12 years in prison and will be sentenced in September.
