Storm Snaps Trees At Cherry Hills Country Club
CHERRY HILLS VILLAGE, Colo. (CBS4) - Thursday's severe storms in the Denver metro area damaged one of Denver's premier golf destinations.
The golf course at the Cherry Hills Country Club will be closed on Friday and most likely again on Saturday after Thursday night's storm knocked down dozens of trees.
The course, off Quincy Avenue, was flooded in some areas after the storm passed through.
An e-mail sent to members alerted them that the closure was necessary to clean up the extensive damage.
An employee at the club told CBS4 that between 20 and 30 trees were damaged. Branches were blown off and some trees were uprooted.
