NFL Lockout Not Excruciating For Everyone

DENVER (CBS4) - For some rookies who are hopeful for a shot at playing in the upcoming NFL season the lockout has been excruciating. For some seasoned veterans this offseason has been the opposite experience.

Signs point to a possible deal coming soon that would end the NFL lockout, which has now stretched to 120 days.

This period of time in the offseason is usually where players are encouraged to be at team headquarters for conditioning drills and OTA workouts. For rookies it's a time to show coaches their dedication and drive. For veterans like Denver Broncos star receiver Brandon Lloyd, it can get a little tiresome.

Brandon Lloyd took part in a national TV interview from CBS4's studios on Wednesday and he joked at the start of the interview that the lockout has been "enjoyable."

"For the last four years I've been trying to find ways not to have to practice in the spring time. So not to have it has been great," he joked. "It's nice to have it in mind that you're going to go into camp fresh."

Lloyd, of course, is hopeful that a deal will get done and that Training Camp will happen on time at the Broncos Dove Valley headquarters in Englewood.

As the Denver Post reported last month, Lloyd has been busy during the lockout. He has started working in sales for a Commerce City company that supplies specialty metals for the aerospace industry and is still learning a lot about the new field.

Lloyd will be the guest on Monday night on CBS4's Xfinity Monday Live! broadcast. If you're interested in watching the show in person, head down to the Tavern Downtown before 6:30 p.m.
