DENVER (CBS4) – Tuesday brought welcome news about employment in Colorado in 2010. The Bureau of Labor Statistics says it rose in all nine large counties from December 2009 to December 2010.
Five of the nine counties actually reported growth above the national average .9 percent.
Weld County led the state with a 2.9 percent gain and was actually 11th in the nation for growth.
The nine large counties, which are defined as having 75,000 employees or more, account for almost 80 percent of total employment in the state.
