Texas Troopers Thought Sen. Williams Should Have Faced Felony

DENVER (CBS4) - Texas troopers thought Colorado Sen. Suzanne Williams should have faced a felony homicide charge in a deadly crash.

A Texas grand jury decided not to indict Williams. She received three misdemeanor citations.

The accident report was filed right after the accident which the day after Christmas. Investigators also recommended charges of tampering with evidence.

The accident killed a pregnant woman. Doctors saved the unborn child.

The lawmaker's son and two grandsons were also hurt.
