DENVER (AP) – Colorado lawmakers are taking another look at same sex marriage after New York legalized it.

The sponsors of Colorado’s civil-unions bill, Sen. Pat Steadman and Rep. Mark Ferrandino, both gay Denver Democrats, plan to try again next year after a similar bill died this year in the Colorado Legislature.

House Speaker Frank McNulty says Colorado Democrats want to use the bill as a wedge issue in an election year, but backers say they are only looking for fairness, according to the Denver Post.

Someone once said, “let them marry so they have the same problems we have”….thought that was funny. I see no problem with civil unions and I can’t think of one reason why not to.
