Aurora Police Release New Details In Sexual Assault Suspect Description

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora have released new details in the description of a teenager who may have sexually assaulted a child.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man, 15-19 years old, 5'5" to 5'9" with a star stamp or tattoo on his hand.

Shortly before 6 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to a burglary and sex assault involving a child at a home near the intersection of 15th and Emporia in the northwest part of Aurora.

The family is Hispanic and only speaks Spanish. The family told officers that they heard noises coming from their 4-year-old daughter's room. They went to investigate and found a stranger in her room standing over her.

The suspect ran out of the home and left the scene before officers arrived.
