DENVER (CBS4) – With the 22nd pick in the first round of the NBA Draft the Denver Nuggets selected Morehead State forward Kenneth Faried. Faried is familiar with Denver. Back in March, he helped lead Morehead St. to a first round upset of Louisville at the Pepsi Center.

Faried gives the Nuggets something they desperately need: Rebounding. At 6-8 and 225 pounds Faried is a rebounding machine. He currently holds the modern era rebouding record in college with over 16-hundred boards.

Faried doesn’t have much of an offensive game. He took only 13 jump shots during his final season in college. Most of his scoring comes on putbacks, layup and dunks.
