DENVER (CBS4)- A huge Fourth of July celebration is planned in the heart of Denver. This Independence Day celebration is on the eve of the 4th in Civic Center Park.

This is the second year for this FREE fantastic event in Civic Center Park on July 3. If you come downtown or watch it on television you will be treated to a sight and sound extravaganza.

The fun starts at 8 p.m. with introductions and guest speakers. At about 8:30 p.m. a light show on the City and County Building begins.

Independence Eve is also part of the revitalization of Civic Center Park.
