Pilot Found Guilty Of Flying While Drunk

DENVER (CBS4) - A pilot has been found guilty of flying while under the influence of alcohol.

Aaron Cope was serving as co-pilot on board a United Express flight operated by Shuttle America. He flew from Austin to Denver 2009. The pilot suspected Cope had been drinking.

Cope was taken into custody after landing at Denver International Airport. He later admitted drinking at a bar and getting beers at a gas station the night before the early morning flight.

Cope has now been fired and faces up to 15 years in prison.
