Grand Junction Police Find Body In Burning Camper

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) — Police say an investigation into reports of a vehicle fire in western Colorado turned up a dead body.

Grand Junction police said they received calls about a burning camper in a parking lot Tuesday night. They say the camper attached to a pickup truck was fully consumed by fire when officials arrived.

Police say the body of a man was found inside the camper after the fire was extinguished. They are investigating the cause of the fire.

The man has not been identified and the Mesa County coroner’s office is investigating the cause and manner of his death.
