3 Climbers Rescued At Garden Of The Gods
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Two adults and a juvenile have been cited for climbing without gear after they were rescued from a rock face in the Garden of the Gods.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department says the climbers were stranded about 400 feet up a rock face when they were rescued on Sunday.
Fire department spokeswoman Sunny Smaldino tells the Colorado Springs Gazette that it took crews several hours to bring down the climbers.
Climbing equipment is required and climbers must register at the visitor center.
