Boulder Expects Water Levels In Boulder Creek To Rise Quickly

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- The city of Boulder expects water levels in Boulder Creek to rise quickly. Barker Reservoir is expected to fill up and start spilling over Wednesday afternoon.

Crews have been clearing debris, including branches and rocks, out of the creek to ease flooding concerns.

Two piles had built up in an area where the county had received complaints about flooding in the past.

Crews had planned to use explosives to blow up the piles, but the water levels were already too high.
